I've never really seen this help any, it may be tighter at the stripe but often times doesn't flash high enough at the hit - thus negating any "gain" downtrack. What does the g-meter look like? To me slip isn't really that important of a number, if the g-meter rate of gain (negative) is steady - I'd say you are fine as is. Many try and get to the 1%-2% slip area, I don't think that's right. You want to bring the shaft to the motor, not the other way around. We slip nearly 6% going through the lights, this is with the car picking up 55MPH on the backhalf of the run. We ran the Mobil1 for many years, now we run the Lucas Semi Synthetic - I see absolutely no difference between the two except the Lucas is markedly cheaper. If you'd like I could take a look at what you have/are doing and possibly be of further assistance.

Id take Brandon up on his offer to look at what your doing.

Alot of "trick" fluids out there that really dont do much for the $$$ spent.
There are some things with the converter you can do to help the "slip" you have down low.
But also, engine RPM down low isnt a bad thing, as long as its driving the tire throughout. Look hard at what your seeing before you decide its truly unneccesary slip.

Remember, "Shaft up, not Motor Down"

I could be wrong here, but thats my opinion.

We run Red Line Lightweight ATF BTW.
