Have the chance to buy a bae fuel block
    Question:
Sleeve size now is 4.187 what is the largest I can bore these sleeves to?
so I can buy alcohol pistons
or do I have to bore the block & buy new sleeves?
Or can I buy Alcohol pistons to suit 4.187 these sleeve

    Thanks

It depends on what sleeve your block accepts now , is it a 1017 or a 1018 ? Darton part numbers---

If you go to Dartons website it has a chart. The 1017 is the standard sleeve , the 1018 is oversize on the OD by .060 from the 1017 which allows a larger bore .

The TFX and BAE are the same .

    The short answer

The short answer is call BAE 909-923-1028. Many of the standard Brad blocks use the same block bore for 4.187 up to 4.310,the only difference being the sleeve. However, some fuel blocks were made lighter with thinner sleeves. Best if you call the tech line with the serial # of your block and get the skinny. Also, you could just run it @ 4.187 because most manufacturers have alky pistons for that bore. Hope this helps.

BAE isn't going to know if your block registers have been bored for a larger OD sleeve than it was originally sold as ------------measure your existing sleeve OD or measure your block sleeve registers --------

    Bae block

    Thanks for the info.
Worked out they are 100-1016-id sleeves. Darton web site was good info.
Looks like I will buy 4.178 Alky pistons

    Thanks again
