    Hi,
I have heard about blower snouts out there that speeds up between the pulley and the blower.
Are there any truth to these being around? If so, who makes them?

I have seen pictures from a few years ago of a blower snout planetary gear system.

Yes they're available, there actually is a 206D for sale on this very site with one on it. Les Davenport made them for the salt flat cars, they couldn't keep the belt on at the o.d. they were using. They are not "hidden", you could spot one a mile away. If your class doesn't have rules for such things, I suppose it could be an option. If your only issue is belt life we have a solution for that. We run 128% over with a two step and put 15 runs on our belts.

I heard they were available virtually inside a normal blower snout - No way to see it from the outside... I would only need 1.1 or maybe 1.2 increase in gearing ;)
