You can probably tell by the spelling of Aluminium , Iam from England. Iam looking at changing the flexplate , and want opinions on the use of an Aluminium one. This is in a 2700lb car using a Bruno / Lenco. So far we have run 6.45 220.

    Thanks Wayne

I have been using the CSR units from Snyder and have had zero problems.

i have one of each.after hearing that some of the dmpe flexplates were cracking i bought one from snyder and thats what im using now.both are pricey, with that being said i'll sell the dmpe with only 8 runs on it,not saying anything is wrong with it still looks good.its hard to say what the ones that have broke were put through.last i talked to dmpe they knew of only i think 3 out of about 150 that had broke.bottom line the csr looks alot stronger.

Curious if there is much of a weight difference between the two?

never thought of weighing them to compare.looking at the two im sure the dmpe is lighter but where the "extra meat" is in the csr i think is worth the little extra weight.i think where the dmpe was cracking is where they mill out around where it bolts to the crank,it seems alittle thin there, plus with the csr because its not milled around the crank when i switched i did'nt need converter spacers because the flexplate sat back where it needed to be .the dmpe is milled on the crank side so it sits over the crank and moves it toward the motor.
