I've worked on a few different teams and all of them set there tyre pressure in the staging lanes before a run, My question is after sitting on hot pavement with one tyre in the sun even though the pressure in both tyres is the same will one tyre have more air in it than the other and after the burnout when both tyres are hot will one have more pressure than the other???

    tyres

we keep lots of notes on our tyres, they are measured, pressures read, rotated, temps taken, time of day recorded etc etc, since doing this never a problem on hot or cooler tracks or days - runs true as, usually up to 1/4 lb different between them.

see this 1/4lb difference on other cars also

    use dressmaking 120" long tapes

One tire being in the sun will only increase the pressure Unless you put more air into the tire manually the volume can not increase.

I was meaning when you lower the pressure in that tyre you take air out leaving it with less air than the one on the other side

Just balance the pressure everything else will work itself out .
