    BAE P&P dry sump pump

I am using the pump and oil line kit that BAE says to use and it is the BAE P&P dry sump stage 2 pump. The ProMod car I am building had the same system on it and ran 2 years in Canada (BAE Fathead/PSI Screw) and had very good service from it and no problems-THANKS! Jim

System 1 the suction section is 4 gallons higher than the pressure. With the right tank design you will be very happy. We went from a wetsump to a dry sump on our dragster.

Does the system 1 scavenge well? The last pro mod that I worked with was dry sump and we would have to drain the oil pan and dump it back into the tank after the run. Kind of turned me off to the standard mount two stage oil pump deal. Anyone have any information on the weight of the different pumps available? Obviously the two stage pump is going to be heaver, but are they all pretty comparable?

I have a promod Roots deal with a Titan pump. 1100 scavange gears and 1100 psi gears. Here's what I've seen. System one starts up cold with like 200 psi then 2 passes in with warm oil you'll have about 90. And a out 130 at gear change but it will always drop . The Titan will have around 140 at start up and idle at 130. 140 at gear change. And I've NEVER had to drain oil pan to make another run. -16 lines everywhere even inline filter standard funny car pan and 18 quart mcamis oil tank. Best pump out there by far

After a run we only have 4 qts in the pan. We dont ever need to drain it to keep running. With fresh cold Oil we Idle at 200 Psi after a few runs we idle at 100 which is more than enough, as it goes down the the track and the rpms go up the pressure follows to a high point of like 180.

    Guys,
Keep in mind there can be as much as 2 quarts under each valve cover when running and won't drain down until after engine is shut off, that's what usuallly fills the pan.
