Funny Car body weight

    Can someone tell me what the approximate weight of a complete fiberglass funny car body such as a 92 Trans Am would be? Thanks Michael Brooks

    depending on iff and how many times it has been repaired and what material was used to build the tree inside it you are probably talking between 200 and 240 pounds.

    We have GREG REGG 97 camaro fiberglass, it weighs 180, We even ground it thinner in some places and only shot it with one coat of white urethane, we had some custom paint jobs that weighed 40 to 50 pounds, because they use COAT AFTER COAT of filler primer to sand it straight, LMAO.

    New Hairy fiber fuel bodies are about 100lbs out of the crate, and about 240 to 260 with paint and chutes.
