I this happen to me, and I seen it happen few others. PSI screw.JBR hat
Spray with deicer across butterflies across and back… make run... cant pull it back with pedal. the rest is junk.
What do you thinks of using WD-40. Since ice won’t hold on oil??

    stuck

it may not be freezing open

what barrel valve are you using
ive seen this on a gore bv on a friends car
i think it was hooked in the outer hole on the arm allowing it to
    go over center(closed) at wot
after moving things correctly it didnt do it
i really think it hydraulics open somehow
set your idle leakdown then open throttle and look through hole and see if
    its going closed at wot

i tend to agree (but don't know sh*t)

freezing is the action of air and moisture being squeezed through the small opening of closed blades. this is how airconditioners work (with R34 gas)
if it is sticking open you don't have the small opening

over center binding linkage sounds more likely. when you lift the peddal you are actually trying to open more/jam. after you shut it off (hope you could before the boom) could you close then?

    freezing up

we had this happen when we first got into blown alcohol and had the sec bypass in the wrong way, we could open the throttle initially and then nothing as it just froze up . I assume this isnt the case as you would have very milky oil but thats what happened to us. Cheers Graham

I had this happen. Was definatly frost on hat. Was only stuck open a tiny bit, but enough to make car almost impossible to slow down. High humidity, cool temperature. Since then I have found Fluid film to work good as it sticks better than WD40. Mine is a D-rotor with deep-throat hat on a mud dragster.

What product to use so it sticks to better?
I use a rod to the Enderly BV, no cable. PSI Screw... On a hot humid day the throttle stuck, tried to pull back with pedal n.g.

If you have a return spring on it, disconnect your linkage and open hard by hand. If it sticks, keep looking for bent shaft or plates.
WD40 works OK for killing ants.....that's about all!
