How are you guys running 2 steps in clutch cars setting your clutch switch? I have been reading a few old threads about it and there is some tuning to be had (when the motor flares up off the 2 step) what is the procedure to get the switch in the ball park? Is this a trial and error thing? I don't want the engine to flare too soon but also not way late.

Any opinions or advice would be great.

It is trial and error based on how good your clutch linkage is. I would start out about .010 from the top and see what the flare is from there. If it flares too much then it is the same as increasing the launch rpm.

Like Mike said, Clutch to the floor, and you want the switch off from .006-.010 airgap from off the pedal
More power we had to tighten it up

So let me get this straight, you put the clutch pedal too the floor, (.070 or so air gap on the discs), start releasing the pedal untill the air gap is .010 and thats when you want the switch to trip the 2 step off? (hi rpm). And this is a starting point.

Yep wire a small light to see when exactly the light turns off. Best thing I ever did rather than listen to a relay in the pits with other cars running around you.

Good idea, I can rig up a small test light with alegator clips on it to go into my terminal block. Never thought about noise in the pits, I'm building the car in a nice quiet shop:D
