Throttle cable

Hello, I put the throttle cable in my altered as a pull to open the injector, But the more i look at it instead of pulling to open, i could put the cable on the front side of the pedal (motor side) and push the blades open. Do any of you guys run it this way? Is one way safer than the other?

Most every blown pro mod out there is this way. Every gforce racecar is done this way. No problems at all just that you can't install a rev limiter stop. It will all be by the seat of your pants. But hey we're all real drivers right??
