What lenco ratio will I need?????

    Hi all,

    Im currently building a FED (EX Chuck Tanko) running a 451 KB alcohol hemi on a soft tune, 2 speed lenco, 3.9 Diff gears and a crower triple plate clutch, Could I run a powerglide ratio or similar???? Any opinions???????

    how much weight? what tire ? how much blower ? Youll probably need a 56% to have enough gear ratio to leave but its going to tug it down pretty good shifting to high, like 3300 rpm. If all you can use is a two speed you might want to go with more rear gear 4.56 -4.71 and a little less gearset, like 44%-48% to get the clutch to work right ( not slip in high gear ).

    Hey marty,

    Its only running as a bracket car on alcohol not fuel, its a 14/71 hi helix littlefield blower that aint turning hard, its got 33" hoosiers on the rear with 3.9 diff gears, i think a 3 speed will just fit but not sure, only want a 2 speed til we get a handle on the car!!!!!
