    learn

Learn how to do a burnout without a stop or limiter.

I can't promise you the first or second will be perfect, but if you don't stab and 'chase' the throttle you should be fine.

If it was me, i would roll through the water, stop the car, hit the transbrake, roll just a little throttle for a brief second, drop the button, leave your foot in the same position and drive into the burnout. If you have a trans that you can start in high gear, do that, if not, start in low and as soon as the car starts moving shift into high.

You will get a feel for how much you need to move the throttle. 7000-8000 rpm should be your target.

It's better in my opinion to have a few ugly burnouts learning than always rely on a burnout stop or rev limiter. The rev limiter can be very hard on parts if it happens to be at an rpm your motor doesn't like due to harmonics.

If you don't stab at the throttle and chase it, you shouldn't over rev.

Just remember it doesn't take much throttle. Less than 1/4 throttle probably.
