What are you guys using for cockpit mounted Oil pressure gauges?
I have an autometer 5422 pro liquid filled but I am concerned about running an oil pressure line right into the cockpit... What if the line or fitting starts to leak? Seems like a bad idea to me but I just wanted to know what you guys are doing.... If you are using this type of deal are you using the supplied plastic tube? (Obviously this needs to be inspected regularly like everthing else does.) I had this same set up on my old S/C car and did not like the small plastic tube so I made up a SS braided -3 or -4 line but that is bigger ID and a leak would be that much worse for may reasons...
    thanks for any info....

Why are you running a gauge in the cockpit? The driver has enough to do without watching gauges.I mount my gauges on the motor (oil, boost, tach) I make my adjustments on the mag, barrel valve and I can see what the engine needs. This also reduces extra braided hose and wires.DAVE

Sounds like you are the owner/driver,if you had an oil pressure sending unit that feeds a simple warning lite that would come on at a preset psi, and have a crewman put an eye on the gauge at the line, you should be good to go.DAVE

I use a procomp liquid filled in the cockpit and I had a single braid -3 hydraulic line made up, (crimped ends) I also have a light. I just can't get away without the guage, it's a bit of a security blanket for me.;) I've never had a leak.
