First time user of Bruno, ready to go, hooked everything up, air on, pressed brake button.

Air exhausts from brake unit, is this normal whilst button is activated.

Sounds like your poppet solenoid isn't adjusted. With air off, loosen the big hex nut, apply 12v and screw the solenoid in until the teflon poppet makes contact with the seat, watch the hex nut and continue turning in 1 to 2 flats and lock it down. You want the solenoid to have as much travel as possible as that is when it is the strongest. Remember, the solenoid is holding 200+ pound of air on the poppet. Also, and I found out the hard way, I was using a 4 wheeler battery for the transbrake, was constantly having what I thought was adjustment problems as it would leak at the most inoppurtune times, turns out the 4 wheeler battery didn't have a lot of amps, went to a larger battery this last season and problem went away, the solenoid just needed enough amperage to have the holding power to keep the teflon poppet sealed against the air pressure.

Not sure what the cutoff would be, but I went to the middle weight (15lb) Braille battery as I already had a couple of them, they're rated at 575 at 32 degrees, and it has worked great this last season. If you already have an onboard starter and batteries, they should be more than enough. You might check with Bruno Sr. for sure on the amp requirements, just be prepared for a short, crusty conversation.....lol.

I had. Similar problem , the switch we were using wasn't up to the job. We had to us a relay to solve the problem.
