"Very popular among the Blown Alcohol and Nitro teams."

Is this true, are they popular in the blown alcohol ranks???

Trying to decide if I want to try them.

    Blessings..........Ron Clevenger

    KING Bearings
    Tri-metal vs. Bi-metal Bearings

Traditional rod and main bearing construction is based upon a three layer configuration composed of a steel backing, a copper-lead layer and a very thin overlay of babbitt material only .0005" - .0008" thick.

King’s bearing uses just two layers, a high strength steel backing plus a bonded layer of "Alecular" bearing material .012" - .015" thick.

Alecular material is used exclusively by King. It is an alloy of aluminum, tin, copper and several other elements. Because it is an alloy, it maintains its properties throughout its entire depth, delivering consistent and reliable performance.
Very popular among the Blown Alcohol and Nitro teams.

    Howdy Ron...

I have a friend who uses them on his Whipple Blown BBC, he has never had any bearing issues with them.. Runs 6.50's in a heavy old funny car with a cast iron block in our B/B FCA class. I have also used them as they are easier to get here in Aus than V series Clevite bearings.

I don't know if this makes them popular but at least it is a vote for OK.

    Cheers Pete

I use King bearings and I really like them. They come in .001 under and .001 over sizes which is nice if you like to get you clearances exactly where you want them. They always come out looking vertually new.

    My 2 cents

I ran them in my Chevy and they looked great. Have not tried them in my Chrysler, would like some input there.
