O-ring vs. circlip groove

    how does one get the lid with the o-ring past the circlip groov in a barral valve,without hurting the o-ring?

    If you're talking a fuel shutoff valve then you need to push the barrel through the body just enough to expose the o-ring groove on the other side, then install the o-ring. And as mentioned, lots of lube.
