Have been reading the priming and starting thread and have a question. On my alky, injected BBC dragster, I use a nitrous plate, a small elec pump, and a 1 qt jr dragster fuel cell. I have a small fuel jet in it and put it on a spring loaded toggle switch. I can pull the lean out back and run it on gas before I load it, and it makes starting a breeze. Now, why can't you plumb something like this into the fuel block with a 1 way valve to aid in starting? I plan on building a BBC with a 10-71 and I can't rely on someone being there all the time so I was planning on something on this order in case I didn't have help with me. It looks like to me you could restict it enough where you could get it to start and run on it until the belt driven pump could take over.

Go with what you know vht. Put a single nozzle in the side of the hat pointed up. Works just as well as the plate deal on your NA engine for 1 man starting.

I run a gas nitrous solenoid on mine, wouldn't you have to have 1 on this set up so it wouldn't siphon gas out of your tank? I know on mine, if the solenoid goes bad it will.
