I have been running an injected nitro BBC and am tired of going through block and parts. I am thinking of going with a up to date A/fuel dragster set up but with a Super mag an 110 pump or larger after I run flow numbers. My plan is to just do some exhibition stuff with my nostalgia competition coupe or run 7.0 pro. I would mainly use alcohol and a 6-71 but for the exhibition and $$ would swap pistons and add say 30% nitro. The kicker is I want to keep the power glide behind it and the 3.50 gears.

Since this is an additional invenstment I would just like to know some other peoples thoughts.

Well each different engine was a different cause. The last one dropped a valve at 200' and it took out everything including the cam. I have an opportunity to get an A/fuel motor and my point was to only run some of the heritage events (blown alcohol) and then swap pistons for lower compression and run a small percentage of nitro for paid in events.

I was running 60 to 80% nitro with the injected BBC

I really thought this would start another Chevy vs hemi debate

I know the late model hemi is a lot stronger and easier to work on so I believe I will go that route

    Thanks

So what are the thoughts of using the powerglide even if I go up to 50% nitro?
