Can someone give me a ball park figure for the fuel system pumping pressure in a modern Top Fuel motor? Also, is there a threshold pressure figure that a person should stay below to prevent the nitro from detonating while being pulsed by the pump or is that just an urban legend? Any help would be appreciated......

A custom electronic controlled nitro delivery system for a project at this end. Using a Waterman pump to feed it. I knew they were at 500 a few years ago, so 600+ makes sense today. I "wonder" how far the pressure envelope can be pushed before KABOOM with nitro ?.....

It's pushing 700+ in some cases.. It's not so much a pre-detonation in the lines issue.. it takes thousands of PSI to explode from compression.

Just a case of flowing 6 times the amount of fuel through an nozzle area only maybe 3 times that of a typical Top Alcohol(blown) car.
