Best value for money lifters for blown BB Chevy??

Hi all, whats the best value lifters (ie: not the most expensive) that would be suitable for a modest blown BB Chevy, say 2,000 HP 8,000 rpm. The cam has approx 780 lift. I would appreciate your thoughts on the brand and where I could purchase then, same for pushrods. Many thanks, Graham

 

Personally, I have had good service from the Crane Ultra-Pro lifters. For sure use at least the .904 dia. Crane's website has a list of where you can purchase.

I currently use Smith Bros pushrods, but I've also used Mantons with same results....good.

The Morels are good lifters. They sell them a half a dozen places under others names, but for a good price. Definitely step up to the .904s, no matter which ones you get. We are seeing more than double the life out of them in N/A set ups with lots more cam than you are running.
And don't skimp with pushrods! A Good Manton is not much more in cost than a standard off the shelf .080 junkie. But buy the biggest pushrod you can fit in the head. It will make a difference for the rest of the valvetrain life. And power.

I know it's not a happy thought, but your at a level where those standard size lifters are going to bite you. And that could cause extensive damage. They were originally sized for a 265 CI SBC in 1955. Give it some serious thought upgrading to the .904.

At 2000 hp, you should save yourself a bunch of money latter and upgrade your block to .904 with bronze liners now. Steel on steel and stock diameter failed on me at a lot less horsepower. Also I had a Crane intake lifter fail after 14 passes, .904 with bronze liners, oh well at least the heads were undamaged.

I have had good run with Isky. EZ-Roll Max lifters. 450lbs, .842 lifter bore, screw blower,850" lift, 8500rpm & Manton pushrods.
