    Hi Guys,

    This is for my dragster.
I just bought a new set of 1022's off the Goodyear truck. They are measuring a quarter inch different. The GY tech inflated one more and left it for awhile. After about 10 minutes we made the tire pressure the same and checked them, it grew to within an eighth of an inch of the other. I still haven't run the car, (starter issues). I went out to the garage yesterday and checked the tires again and they are back at being a quarter of an inch off.

    Is this acceptable?
Will the car wander around up top?

I've had the same issues with Hoosiers and am now VERY gun shy about tire rollout.
I've got 3 sets of BRAND NEW Hoosiers with 4 passes on them each and can't use any of them (car wanders all over the place BAD). These sets are no more than a quarter of an inch different rollout from tire to tire. That's why I switched to GY.

To confirm it was the Hoosier tires I put them on my wifes car (all 3 sets), same thing, they made the car wander all over the track at speed to the point she had to lift.

    HELP
    Thanks
    Frank

We had a set like that on a FC yes it will make a diffrence We would inflate the smaller to about 25# and let it sit reducing the air periodiclly to what we would run. trial and error you can get them to within a 16th or excact, but it will be an on going ritual

As previously stated, 20# is good for stretching 30 mins to an hour. Also noticed that if you leave the tire in the sun when you do it to put some heat in it, it helps it retain the change you're looking for.

    1022

Is this something I'm going to have to do at every race or will one time do it (before I run them initially)?

    Thanks guys.

Just something you'll have to keep a close eye on. You just start to get a feel for what it's trying to do. If you're racing in cool weather all the time, you'll have to chase it. Generally during the summer months, we only have to worry about it the first couple laps we're using them and it seems to even itself out to where you want it to be. Of course, in my case, it doesn't hurt that it's on a TAFC and I've got a driver that LOVES his long burnouts.
