OK first post!! I have a blown Buick V6 dragster that Im trying to push into the 3.90's before retire. I am fairly close and fully believe it can easily do it with the correct tuneup!
I havent ran the car for a couple of years but plan to bring it back out here in a few months. Basically I will be switching to M5 fuel and have gone to a larger fuel pump. I am completely positive that I have never used large enough nozzles. This has really limited me to 7500 rpm because it noses over above that. I rearned alot in the last few runs I made with the car , enough to realize that the HP is being controlled by the lack of fuel. Im intrested in any help that you hands on people may provide. I will gladly provide a lot more info if I can get some input!! Any help appreciated!! Mike:cool:

Here a few videos from a few years back. These are the only attempts at 1/4 mile runs I have ever made. They were at a Buick event as exebition passes. Out of total fear all were early shutoffs. Didnt know how to post the videos , so you must copy & paste.

What size is the blower? It looks pretty big for a small c.i. engine.

Getting the pump flowed will help on what nozzles you need.

DMPE 1471- M5 driven 14% over. Waterman 10.85 GPM (old) , waterman 12.95 GPM new pump. Basically has 65# boost at 7200 rpm. I have pics of my Racepak data on its quickest pass if intrested. Mike

What's your quickest pass so far? We ran 3.90's with a blown SBC, Santos deal -12 heads etc, I think your goal may be a bit far fetched. We had to beat the crap out of the SBC and it had the absolute best of everything. Larry Snyder got his into the 3.80's and he was the quickest there was.

    Last time I had the car out it went .942 -60' , 2.715 - 330' , 4.236 - 660' @ 162.80.

I did not have enough weight in the nose on this pass and carried the front end and was driving towards the wall so I had to shut it off and steer back to the groove , which had me off the throttle for around a second. Had it been a full pull could have been a low 4 teen?? I tried to attach pics of the data log info but do not know how to attach them!!
I will try later tonight. Mike:cool:

    Mike....
that car will run in the 3's....don't care what anyone says. look at the gains you made when you added fuel....it still needs more. wait till you get to run higher than 7500 rpms and see what you think. retiring?.....
