If you take the belt off the blower then how easy is it to turn the blower over by hand. How much resistance? Do you know how far down on boost you are from when it was fresh? How many runs on the blower and do you use Prizm gel on the rotors?

The clearance between the nylatron and the case must be measured at the bottom opening of the case. Anything over 5 thou clearance is worn out. The trick is to machine the nylatron so there is zero clearance, but so you can still turn the blower over fairly easily with a small ratchet.

I set them up with .002 on the bottom, they will have 007-008 on the sides, from rotor to case, the Teflon wear is more critical than the nylatron, it sounds to me like it's time for a complete restrip, and also check over everything else to make sure nothing is going astray

You need to start using that Prizm gel to make the blower strips last longer. It also is a great lubrication to get the tight rotors back in the case after you restripe them.

turn rotor about 800-1000 rpm, feed the tool slow as possible, take a rough cut about .030 bigger than final cut, there should be a number stamped on the front lower right of case, this will tell you what the OD of the rotor should be, std is 5.780 + that #, hope this helps

Years ago we shipped just our rotors to Andy and crew to save on shipping as we didn't want to ship all 3 blowers plus we saved on assembly/disassembly costs. You need a damn good lathe to cut those strips accurately over 16-19" in length...
