Yes, I call it top lube. I do it mainly for the pump but I think it helps keep corrosion out of the fuel system too.

My bottle says 16oz treats 55 gallons but I use 1oz per 5 gallon fuel jug so my bottle treats 80 gallons. From what I see it dont burn off so the headers get a gooey black stuff in them, at least I think thats whats causing that. I dont use valve seals and I prime with gass most of the time so that might be the black stuff.

I always use the M2 stuff from VP. Supposed to keep valve guides lubed, pumps the works. As stated, when you do tear downs its inside exhaust ports, headers, feels like thick oil on everything. I've never run without it so i can't say if its working or not, but everything always looks perfect.

    lube

you can use KLOTZ or the speed warehouses (jegs & summit) also carry them, some with fragrance as well. most of the places that sell alky also carry the lube. I put one in a drum, but don't use it when qualifying in a qualified field. This will make it fail fuel check for some stupid reason.

I personally use and sell Red Line Alcohol Fuel Lubricant part # 41102
    12OZ bottle $11.95
Use 1oz per 5 gallons, one bottle treats up to 55 gallons

Prevents gelling and corrosion in methanol and nitromethane fuel systems
Lubricates upper cylinder and fuel system
Increases power with more ring seal
Replaces lubrication lost by wash of dry fuels
    Reduces ring and cylinder wear
    Reduces valve guide wear
    Reduces valve seat recession
    Lubricates injectors and pumps
    Provides piston scuff protection
    Reduces corrosiveness of fuel
Not detectable by normal fuel tests, mixes with only slight agitation
