    Straight up

I've been told by manufacturers of pnumatic controlled devices (lenco, Automan) to keep the bottle as straight up as possible. Compressed CO2 becomes a liquid, you want to operate off the vapor. Supposedly liquid in the lines can cause freezing and other bad things.

We're trying out a new head cooling system this year using a 2 1/2 lb CO2 bottle.
    Filled with 1 1/2lbs of CO2

Our first dry runs with the system told me this much. At 1 1/2 lbs there is liquid near the valve and it did freeze with the bottle horizontal.
Not the valve itself but the electric valve that triggers it.
Next try will be to shim the bottle to have a slight tilt up to the valve.
Under acceleration, the liquid will be forced back but needs to have some tilt when sitting there. This is with the valve facing toward front of the car.
