    Hi all and Merry Christmas.
I have a question it pertains to T/F but TA/D could also factor in.
In a 1/4 mile run how many times does the crank shaft rotate ?
T/F from start to finish 4.50 sec.
TA/D from start to finish 5.30 sec.

That depends on a few variables
    Tire size
    Gear ratio
    Clutch
Whether the tire spins or not
ET is really not a factor

    Crank Shaft Rotation

I did not take into variables just a round about.
Just as to how many times the crank will rotate on a perfect pass ?
I should have asked what is the average RPM of a T/F ?
    Nitro.

Approximately 650 revolutions from start line to finish line. Engine RPM is 8000 for about 3 seconds pulls down to about 6500 with clutch lockup and goes through the finish line at about 8200 RPM not dead accurate but close.

    “Doing the Math”

T/F Approximately. Engine speed average = 7800 RPM / 60 = 130 Revs Per Second x time = total revs per run. (time)This applies to the elapsed time.
T/A Approximately. Engine speed average = 9400 RPM/ 60= 156 Revs Per Second x time = total revs per run.

Engine components are damaged by engine speed, and other things, not revs per run.

Thank you all for your response..
there is a very good topic on the BOSS 302 site about
acceleration and I have lead it into T/F.
Guess they are more into date codes and part numbers than math?
Oh well it is a good brain teaser.
