    Does anyone know if there would be any problems with this trans launching in 2nd gear? There is a problem with a friends MSD system so he has put a Mallory back on for the weekend and is concerned that he wont get off the line in first.... Ovbiously transbrake would not be functional but he leaves at idle anyway so shoulb be able to hold on the brake...

    Any help real quick would be appreciated, we are meant to be qualifying in 6 hours :cool:

    I'm assuming he is retarding the timing because the gearing is wrong, the track is junk, too much HP, all the above.
    He could try old school. Drag the brake on launch.

    Thanks for the replies, dodged a bullet the car ran got off the line OK with 25 degrees and ran 3 100th off its PB.
