The easiest way to solve that problem would be to put a blower on it. :)

I was looking at Davisons Race Cars web site the other day and say on a Front Motor A/F car they mounted a larger size blower pulley directly abiove the crank, ran a SHORT belt and clipped the starter to this. A LOT easier than pulling the starter off the bottom. Don't know if anyone is marketing these or if it is a one-off or???

Craig Hutsler's nostalgia A-Fuel car is in my dads shop in Colorado right now and Craig has built a similar setup for it. His setup using a short blower belt places the starter mount up higher and to the left side of the motor. It is really trick and saves you from having to wrestle the starter around the fuel pump and onto the crank.
