has anyone used this process for their frame?

    how do they compare:

    Powder coating, Durability, weight, cost
    Spray paint, Durability, weight, cost
    Electrocoating, Durability, weight, cost

    thanks

Yes Pretty is nice but I would just paint it.
    Consider this before coating.
Some coatings cause problems with sonic testing during chassis inspection.
You also do not want a coating that will hide cracks that may develop.

I've had my chassis powder coated for years and other cars chassis painted. Dont know weight and stuff like that but one thing I noticed, wether It's painted or powdercoated it doesn't take a good eye to catch cracks. I can always spot cracks when they are small b/c the paint or powdercoat will flake off leaving a big bare spot. If I see paint chipped off, you can bet there is a crack forming at that spot. I have caught many small cracks this way. If it was just a bare frame you would need to look it over real closely.

For us powder coating suits car running a certain ET and mph... my old 23T chassis was powder coated, great finish but only run low 11's @ 125mph

Our other cars now one running low 6's is painted (not heavy coat) - though wheelie bars are bare moly.

And another car which will run low 7's will be painted

As again, our last car which is going to run 11's will be powder coated.

Just our preference, powder coating can hide cracks.
