Helmet speakers

    I'm about to order a new helmet and want to know which is the best speaker/mike set up to use. (want to get them factory fitted) Any opinions ? Thanks Murray

    We also us the RH2 system, never had a problem and work very well, but do not turn it up to hi they can get very loud in the helmet, I us ours with ear plugs to quite down the motor noise and still hear the guys at the starting line when I back up. good luck

    I used the same guys. Boat application, so engine is behind us. Very easy to hear the crew talking to me. Even while making a pass.
    The ear speaker fits to the head/ ear similar to how hearing protectors fit. So, it cuts way down on engine noise.
    I'd give em 2 thumbs up.
    I have had them for 2 years with zero issues.

    No need for the $299 speakers in a drag application. My MUCH less invasive Promod speaker is more than enough for what you need (And WAY cheaper). It will make your ears bleed in staging lanes if its turned all the way up. I have them in Nitro cars. The problem with the expensive speakers is you have to remove a good amount of helmet hard pad to fit them in. Removing hard pad is not good for the "Safety" in your helmet. A good quality "Noise cancelling" style mic is what you want in a microphone. Be carefull as some of the biggest name companies out there have a Terrible helmet mic. Your entire helmet can be set up for about $125.
