Is it advisable to rotate rear tires left to right and vise versa, what are your thoughts ?

from what i know they go on a certian way and i never change them from side to side some have a yellow circle with a x in the middle and it faces the right others have a different mark so one is on the inside and the other is on the out side its what i was told years ago and its how i always did it i know some bracket racers have done i just never seen the point

we run the hoosier 2055s and i swap sides almost every run especialy when they start to creep round the rim as we use liners then they creep back the other way, we have never found an issue with this, the yellow dots on the hoosier i dont think mean a thing i used to think they were balance points and put them near the valve, iv since heard they actuly mean nothing .who knows but i never had any problems at all...never bothered with bead locks as the tire dont move but with liners they just do sometimes...

I believe the yellow "X" Jim was referring to was the old goodyears as they were mounted with the x facing the passengers side and were directional
I cant say about the ones of today as i have run hoosiers for the last 8 years
The hoosiers can be run either way and i think they encourage you to swap them occasionaly

Make sure you do a good burnout the first time after a swap.
Other than that, I swap them quite often.
