Machining Brodix BB3's for 1/2" studs?

Anyone done this, will it break into the runners?

 

Ok maybe I need to add more detail

I mean fitting 1/2" head studs, standard is 7/16

Anyone machined Brodix heads for this?

Going on a iron big block chevy

Not sure on the BB3's but I know it will on the BB2's.

I drilled a set of Dart pro-1 345s out for the 1/2" head studs and has no problems--

I have done 2 or 3 sets, including my own. No big deal. IF you do see air the tube thing is a fine way to seal it up. Good luck.
Heck, your worst problem is that Chevy wasn't so hot on the blueprint position of their threads in the block.
Come to think of it I doubt 1/2" is going to do any good with the oem block...unless you already smoked them and are repairing.

 

Ok will have a good look and see if we can tube them

We have drilled and fitted 1/2" before, with block fill it lasted well over 10 years running low 7's in a 2000lb altered
