Has anyone seen anything special to look out for in tuning an iron headed blower motor?

I wouldnt think there would be any but I thought I would ask.

    382" SBC, 6-71, alky, 600 pump.

Yes. An Iron headed engine needs about four total revolutions of the engine and it is ready to run. No need to heat up before a run (other than oil temp). And they cool down much slower between rounds. Iron heads also seem to take a beating more than their comparable aluminum. (Of course, that is just what I have seen personally)
With alcohol you don't have many issues other than that. Now - if you go to gas, that is a completely different scinario.

We are going to try running them dry too, it worked fine when it was a stack injected motor but I have to say I'm a little worried about dry iron heads and a blower.

The block is aluminium, "yea its wierd but its what we ended up with", that shouldnt matter any though.
