you shoud consider the Miner / Fontana hemi when you get over the BBC thing. True race proven billet parts, ease of maintenance, reliable, and based on a BBC. The bore centers are BBC. Was originally designed as a hemi head to go on a true BBC, now we use billet blocks by CN or Alan Johnson. No issues with mains or valvetrain. Good used (refurbished at factory) manifold to pan usually costs around 27-28k.
