I replaced my wet oil pump with a 5-stage dry sump pump. Due to the vacuum caused by the dry sump air is now being pulled into the engine through the puke tank. My question is what do you do with burn-down tubes now. I'm assuming you would block them off and treat the engine like it has vacuum pump that uses an adjustable poppet air valve?

    Thanks, Joe

Is this a blown engine if it is you dont need to block the breathers, the crank case presure will soon go positive when you step on the gas, and it will need to get out,
I have a turbo hemi with a multi stage dry sump pump and tank we still have a breather to the puke tank,

if its N/A its prety much the same when you lean on them they will go positive, its ok to draw air in through the breather tubes, puke tank as long as its not sucking oil out into the motor,
in our N/A days we only blocked the breathers and used an adjustable valve when we had a vac pump and only used the valve as the vac pump was fighting the oil pump

I have seen blown cars with large one way flapper valves on the vent hoses. These seal with a vacuum and open with positive pressure.
