we have been running a RAM 10" 6 leverer (Chevy FW) on a Gas blown chevy (~1400hp) in the past. Upgraded to blown alky KB Olds 526 (~2300 hp). We bougt another RAM (Hemi FW) but now its setup with the thicker arms, 5/16 (72g) vs. 1/4 (52g).
Where should I start with the arm wheight, is it balancing up becauce the whole arm is thicker or do I need to go lower on wheight?
We have the old clutch as spare so I can use that hat and have this for spare but I stil need a setup in case.

Lars, is this new 10" RAM clutch a dual disc or a triple disc? Does it have six fingers or nine fingers. Does it have a aluminum or Titanium cover? What kind of car is this in? Is it a coated clutch? How much does the car weigh?

Do you have the RAM data sheet on the clutch that gives you all the base spring pressures and things like that? Do you know what springs are in it or the color of the springs....yellow 15 lbs per turn, black 20 lbs per turn or red 30 lbs per turn? I hope they are red.

Also what is the Ring Height of the clutch. There are two different ones for that clutch and it makes a difference on the lever weight. Between the bottom of the top cover and the top of the pressure ring you can have .350" or .200" or it can be measured from the top of the cover to the top of the pressure ring and can be 1.165" or 1.015".

If you want I can call RAM Monday and get you a start off point. They are pretty good at putting you right in the ballpark. What would be better is to give me the serial number of the clutch and who the first owner was. If you want you can email me all the data at mike.c@mindspring.com

Sorry about all the questions but there are so many variables to the RAM clutches.
