boost pressure shut off ....

    i recently broke a intake adj
    it shut down # 1
    then put 56 pounds boost to motor
    trashed 7 rods cracked 7 pistons and blew headgasket and torched head luckly didnt break anything though
    all costing 5k just part of what we do

    the question does anyone make a device that is set at 50lbs that will shut down the motor ?????

    Leahy makes one that attaches to some models his ignition timers and activates the #6 spot on the Six Shooter where you can have a 10* chip. The MSD 8973 has provisions to hook up a Racepak boost transducer and can be set to retard the ignition and like already said Ralph Gorr makes a unit that can be used to shut thing down.

    Ralph makes a unit that shuts off all the reurn fuel at a predetermined pressure and floods the motor with fuel to kill boost. Works great.
