The best way is to wash them in a washing maching. Chain the lines together and put them in the machine one at a time. I use purple stuff to break down the oil. I also go to the laundrymat they have bigger machines and no wife. front loading machines are best.

Like Wayne said, I use wire ties about every 6 inches on the shroud lines, a pain to do but not near as bad as untangling the lines after they come out.

Washing machine/ I use dawn/ washing soda. enough to get the oil out. chain the lines. they get pretty short after doing that, so everything fits Then dry. You will be surprised how much lighter they are. Don

I would got to a local laundry mat that has a large commercial washer. According the Stroud, when you send them a chute for cleaning, they use regular laundry detergent such as Tide, etc. with one cup "cap" size of Super Clean with the load in cold water on a standard cleaning cycle. Once the chute is done, just allow the chute to air dry.

Will may i ask why they will hit harder? I was under the impression that they will hit harder when filled up with oil and dirt?

My guess is they open quicker. Jason Cannon used to go a long time without washing the and he said his head about hit the dash the first time with them washed.
