bleading brakes/residual valves

    on my promod car ive bleed 3 different ways and the pedal is good
    untill a few hrs later and i have to pump 2-3 times to get the height back
    im talking a inch or so
    the master cyl is low in the car and it has 4 piston strange rears
    do i need residual valves ,what pressure and were do i put them
    front/rear/ 4lbs/10lbs/just front or just rear
    my other promod car had the same brake system but no problems

    You need the 2lb blue residuals ,Wilwood site has info.

    Yes, 2 Lb should do it. This is a result of the M/C being the lowest point in the system. I try and put my M/C's high with a swing pedal, eliminates this problem. Gives better clearance and less prone to dirt etc.

    do i need the 2 lbs check valves in the front and rear
    the brakes wont drag will they

    Duane, I tried to reply to your PM but your box is full.
    Hi Duane,
    The only drawback would be if it made the brakes drag, but 2 pounds should not and be sufficient to give you that "right there" feel. You could put the valve on the rear only and see if it ends your problem, assuming you have 2 piston front calipers. You should also be sure you have the proper size Master Cylinder and that it is plumbed properly (the port nearest the mounting flange should be to the rear brakes).

    Residual Pressure valves

    I used to run without the residual valves as well, I have a hand brake set-up. I always had to give the handle a couple of good pulls to get the brakes up before I staged. Put the valves on (2lbs) on from and rear, problem gone. Never noticed any dragging.
