i put the microphone in the breather mask
you have to move padding around to hide everything
i wear ear buds so i dont have the speakers in the helmet
You need to talk to Dan Brown
he kind of is the resident expert on this

I got the Nitro Helmet Speakers installed. They were a little overpriced IMO, ut they work excellent. They are sort of like ear muffs, they have the rubber seal around them. They do a good job of keeping out external noise. They are crystal clear to listen to also.
I have the motorolla mike mounted in front of my mouth (duh) just screwed in I think. It has been there for years.
I had good experience with the nitro speakers and service.
I used buds before that. They also worked good. The foam eventually expands and they fall apart. I did not try the custom made buds, however. When putting on the helmet, I just pulled it to the side a little to slide it on and buds usually stayed in. They are a little of a PITA.
I personally like the speakers better. Just less to mess with. I liked the buds also, though.

Sorry I missed this thread until now.

Remove the filters and then the mask from the helmet, The Mic you just need to make a slit in the lower left hand corner (Lokking from the inside) then thread the mic threw the slit. The mask is very plyable. Wrap the flex boom of the mic around the mask reciever up over the top and forward. Use hot glue between the mask and filter reciever to hold in place.

Is there a reason you have to put it on the left side and not the right?

Everything but dragsters you go in and out of from the Left. 1) If a crew member has to help get you in and hooked up they would have to reach around to do so. 2) God forbid... Something happened and Track personel needed to get you out. If on the right they can't see it to unhook you.
