We have an older EM timer. There is two pin connector , green wire and black wire. When these are bridged the timer should start ? We have measured 5 volts across these wires.
If this is the correct way to trigger the timer should we see the display counting away ? Or is there any other way of knowing if the timer was activated?

I have tried e-mailing EM without sucess.

    Thanks Wayne

Wayne, I believe the scheme is pretty standard and that two pin connector with the black and green wire usually is hooked to the throttle switch and the timer is activated when the two wires are shorted together or hooked via the clutch switch.

Hi Mike , you are a star sir !!! When we posted this thread we guessed you would be the first to give us a good answer , thank you.

After posting we went back in the garage and tried a few things , by reading the resistance we could tell it was working , we half expected the display to start displaying when it was triggered , not the case though. We could see the resistance readings on my multimeter as it ran through the six shooter.
    Problem solved.

    Thanks again Mike
