i was looking for some input on how high of a static compression ratio a competitive nhra blown pro mod car would be running ? I know that they have been limited to 14.5 % over this year, last year it was 20 % over and i have heard that some combinations were running in and around the 13 to 1 area.

I don't know if you will really get that honest of an answer. It is really relavant to alot of different things as I am sure you know. Maybe you can order a set of pistons from a top Pro Mod engine builder, and go from there. But I am sure they are runnung the latest heads intake etc.

I know i won't get a very honest answer to my question, i guess i was fishing a little, i am lucky in the way that the car i crew chief for has teamed up with Rob Sporring who owned the ride that Tony Pontieri drove, and unfortunately crashed last year, we have just picked up our new g force car and we will be running rob's power plants, they went 5.87 @ 246 so i have been blessed with some awesome equipment, i know what we run for compression so yeah i guess i was fishing, thanks for your input Don

You might want to try out one of Don Hampton's 2 Lobe 14/71. we had one of his 8/71's and it put out more air than a striped 14/71, call him he can tell you how much air the 14 puts out, and you don't have to worry about re stripping it cuz there's no strips, so it puts out a much cooler boost, you probably can sent it to Cantrell and have the rotors, coated for even More boost. Just saying. ;)
