Can the male coupler on the back of my powerglide be connected directly into the female coupler on the pinion, or does there have to be a shaft between them?

I'm considering a combo for my wife that is too long for the chassis unless I can go straight from the tranny to the pinion.

    Thanks,

    -Brian

Yahooooo. I couldn't see any reason that it wouldn't work, but I thought I'd better ask.

    Thanks guys,

If you need to purchase one check with maker like Strange because if you have 4" or so between trans and rear end,They make a guick disconnect coupler that will allow removal of trans. with out moving motor and makes life alot easier.

    couplers

Check Strange & M W sites. Measure from the front of coupler on rear, and rear seal on the trans. Those quick disconnection's are only in 27 spline. so if you have a 32 spline stuff ii is different you will need to do something else.. But it can be done. I have 71/4 in and 32 spline stuff, and I still have a quick disconnect Don
