    3 years.

SFI was/is a great idea but it has turned into a money thing and has diverged from its original mission or purpose. Manufactures are dictating replacements or services and blaming it on SFI. SFI is saying it is the manufactures prerogative. Sanctioning bodies are trying to institute safety and relying on SFI but the original intent has become corrupted.

I think there should be a third party review of the SFI and all the sanctioning bodies as the racers are the one who are suffering or paying into this system. In my opinion, the good intent of the safety system has gotten out of control by the greed of all involved without regard to the racers.

Not sure if that answers your question but that is the way it is as I see it, please somebody educate me if I am wrong.

With the cost of shipping and the cost of the recertification, repairs always needed it is almost better to throw it in the trash and a buy new.Problem by being the only game in town they can dictate the rules and cost.Third party certification is needed,or allow other manufacturers.Lets just keep increasing cost and decreasing payouts so no one can afford to race.
