Rear End Oil

Can someone tell me the correct amount of gear oil for a MW 9" modular rear?

1 gallon is what i was told

 

gear oil

We use 6 in ours

 

Is there no plug in the side of the center section ?

 

I checked mine, it has a plug in the side of the third member.

 

No there isn't a plug in the side of the centre section, only 3 bolts, two upper and one lower on the front of the case, which I'm tipping are holding the spool etc in place.
Not much on the MW website that I could find, either.

STOCK FORD HOUSING REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 3 QUARTS OF GEAR LUBE. A FABRICATED OR M/W MODULAR HOUSING MINIMUM AMOUNT SHOULD
BE 4 QUARTS OF GEAR LUBE. M/W ALSO RECOMMENDS THAT WITH ANY HOUSING THE USER MUST TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE CONFIGURATION
OF THE HOUSING AND G-FORCES THAT WILL DISPLACE LUBRICATION, ADJUST THE GEAR LUBE LEVEL SO PROPER LUBRICATION IS OBTAINED.
