Does anyone make custom length morse cables? I have some weird sizes I need and trying to avoid having extra cable wrapped everywhere.

Thanks for any and all help, please call, e-mail, or reply as I can't check PM's often.

    Thanks,
    Trevor Sherwood

    Trevor,

You can get them made at most hevy duty truck shops but I have found they don't slide as easy as Control Cables. I'd call Control Cables, they should be able to make them you.

    Cables

Proble is that I need one at 9 feet and 2 inches and the other at 8 feet and 6 inches roughly. Everyone seems to go by the foot.

    Thanks,
    Trev

Hey Trev, they make Extensions that screw on the end of your cable. Come in 4", 8" lengths. Will solve your problem! I can have some drop shipped if you need them, also have some in stock, "Uncle" Tim

Just call Control Cables and ask for Vic. They make them to your length, quick, aren't that expensive and everyone uses them.

    Cables

ISS makes them for Hadman. They have offices in Kent Wa and Portland Or. Price is resonable and they are quick.

That all and good to make them perfect. But what happens when you need to replace one in a hurry? Just something to consider. Don

You always have spare cables in the trailer. BTW, just get them from Control Cable and be done with it. I've seen those cables go through a fire and they still work. They can also withstand a tighter bend radius than morse cables.

Aircraft Spruce has a nice selection and Quarter-Max makes a really nice custom cable.

I keep two spares of every cable in my trailer. Chances of walking through the pits and borrowing one on race day that fit your spec's would be a miracle so why take chances on something as cheap as cables.

Control Cables makes them fast enough (if you ask them to) that if you ordered a standard length or a custom length, either one would still arrive on your porch the same day.
