I have asked a few people where the delay and or roll out should be with a nostalgia funny car so I can be more accurate at RT. I cant seem to get a straight answer from a few so called pros. Dose anyone hear have any insight on this???? I dont like changing the delay to make me look good. I want to work for it. I know its only to keep you consistant but I feel the closer the better. Thanks guys.

First, forget about the delay in the practice tree, it is only used for guys leaving on the top bulb in bracket racing that are used to a pro tree. [set in on 000.] Rollout in a practice tree is time, not distance, so you have to figure out how much time it takes for your car to break the beams. Here`s what I do; Let`s say you cut .430 lights with your car. Set the rollout on the practice tree to 000. Cut a bunch of lights, [it will always be red], [Let`s say you are cutting .200 lights. This is your brain reaction time] That means your car has .230 rollout; [.430-.200=.230 rollout.] So, Put 000 in the delay, .230 in the rollout, and start cutting lights, you may have to adjust slightly, but it does work. hope this helps, Tom.
