I need a couple stainless steel fuel lines made up, nothing fancy. I need two, one straight and one with a 90* bend with the tube nuts installed. I'd normally make them up myself but my 37* double flaring tool only goes up to #8 and I need #10 (5/8" OD) lines. Anyone have a good source to get these made up?

    Thanks.

    Rolo-Flair

From Aircraft Spruce, part # 212FB, up to 3/4". 2006 catalog price $76.25.
It says "not for stainless", but I've used it 30 yrs. by using a drop of 3 in one oil on the flair. No thicker than .035 wall 304 only.
Learn this trick: a tube cutter will work harden the end, use a saw. Very carefully tap the end against a 1" belt sander while turning slighty until the end turns slighty yellow (NOT BLUE), the flair area will now be annealed. The flair will work harden right back to spec., without spliting or hardening too much becoming brittle enough to vibration crack.
Free advise from the ol' guy. Merry Christmas!

    SS fuel lines

You can also use a butane torch deal ( one of those small pint sized ones) to anneal.

I have used the Roto Flair 37* on SS single flare fuel lines, 3/8 and smaller works like a champ. Should work up to 1/2",

    .035 wall 304 SS

Remember to put the nut and other little thingy on BEFORE/BETWEEN the bend and flare!:p

Thanks guys for all the input. Dave, thanks for the offer. I can get the tubing at Grainger at a decent price and get the flaring tool (thanks Bob). I'll give it a try myself and it's also nice to know I can call Enderle too.

you can also go to a rigit tool dealer they have a tube benders and two sets of 37 degree flairing tools 3/16 to 3/4 part # 41162 or kit 1/2 to 1" part #41285, they are easy to use and not that expensive. I purchased mine thru a plumbing supply store.
