tire size

I had a brain fart, can't remeber if a taller tire affects ET or MPH, can anybody help an old man!

 

It effects et. But it is just fooling numbers. Because a taller tire has more roll out. So you get a worse reaction time, but you get that much back in the et. So from the time you see the amber to the time you cross the line does not change. Now, if you are going red all the time, or you need a thou to get into the show for qualifying, then it is helpful. But come elimination time, it is still the time from the reaction to the amber to the finish line.
