We bought a used k-style barrel valve and put it on a blown alchohol hemi application and it seems to be incredibly sensitive to adjustments. One flat seems to make a huge difference. We had Spud Miller build the fuel system and I am fairly certain that I didn't mention that this barrel valve had come from a nitro application. My question is how to tell for sure if it is a nitro spool or not. There are no numbers on it. I looked on Good Vibrations site and of course they do sell one for each application but I hate to buy one if that is not the problem. Thanks Jeff

There is a thru hole drilled in the spool, I don't know the technical name. On "older" spools the .250 dia hole is drilled all the way thru. The "new" spools are .250 on one end and .187 on the other. Good luck with Enderle. When I called them two weeks ago they told me the "old and new" thing then said I needed to send the spool back to them and they would use a fixture to determine which spool was for alcohol. I am guessing the issue isn't the dia. of the hole but the angle it is drilled relative to the large slot in the spool.

Well I will give them a try tommorrow, and I will probably call Spud also and see if he can shed any lite on the subject. Thanks for the reply.
